1. Who we are and what these terms cover

5280 Lights (Jacob T Tayler) installs permanent outdoor lighting for homes in the Denver metro. These terms cover your use of 5280lights.com, the quotes we prepare, and the installation work we do. By requesting a quote or hiring us, you agree to them. Your written quote and any signed agreement add the specifics for your project, and where they differ from this page, the written quote wins.

Eligibility: Our services and website are intended for users 18 years of age or older.

2. What we do

We install permanent outdoor lighting systems, such as Govee and 5280 Signature, in concealed aluminum track along your roofline. The exact scope of your job is what is written in your quote and shown on the approved diagram. Work outside that scope is quoted separately.

When you hire us, you confirm that you own the property or have the owner's permission, and that you will give our crew reasonable access on the scheduled day. Checking your HOA rules and getting any approval your HOA requires is your responsibility, though we are glad to help with product details and photos for the application.

3. Quotes and estimates

Planning ranges shown on the website are estimates. Your actual quote is prepared remotely from the photos you send us and an aerial measurement of your roofline, and it is written up as a diagram showing which runs will be lit. Final scope is what is on the approved diagram.

Because quotes are prepared without a site visit, the price may change if we find something at your home that was not visible in the photos or aerial imagery, such as damaged fascia, inaccessible sections, or a roofline that measures differently in person. If that happens, we will tell you before doing any extra work. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.

4. Payment

The deposit reserves your install date and covers materials ordered for your job. The balance is due when the installation is complete and you have walked it with us. If your quote or agreement lists different payment terms, those apply.

5. Scheduling and weather

We work on rooflines, so safety comes first. Rain, snow, ice, high wind, or lightning can push an install back. If weather forces a change, we will text you as early as we can and offer the next available date. If you need to reschedule, just let us know as early as you can.

6. Workmanship and communication

We stand behind our installation. If a track section, wire run, or connection we installed has a problem, tell us and we will come out and make it right. Specific workmanship coverage and its length are stated in your quote or agreement.

The lights themselves carry the manufacturer's warranty. We do not make the lights and cannot extend or change a manufacturer's warranty, but we will help you sort out a warranty claim when we can.

Most communication about your project happens by text and email, using the contact details you gave us. Texts about your quote, scheduling, and service are only sent if you opted in on the quote form. See our Privacy Policy for how SMS consent works and how to opt out.

7. SMS messaging terms

By opting in to text messages, you agree to receive messages from 5280 Lights (Jacob T Tayler). Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP at any time to opt out. Text HELP for assistance or contact jake@5280lights.com.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Using this website

The content on this site, including text, photos, and diagrams, belongs to 5280 Lights and is here for you to learn about permanent lighting and request a quote. Please do not copy it, scrape it, or use it to misrepresent your affiliation with us. Product names such as Govee, 5280 Signature, and Trimlight belong to their owners, and mentioning them is not an endorsement by them.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent Colorado law allows, 5280 Lights is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from this website or our services, including lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim related to the website is limited to $100. For installation work, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Colorado law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any dispute about these terms, this website, or our services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado. If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Almost everything can be sorted out with a conversation.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted here with its effective date. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
