How Govee Permanent Lights Installation Works With Us

Our model is different from dealer-brand installers. Here it is, in full.

Submit the form or text us. We quote remotely from a few photos of your home and a short text Q&A — you'll get a formal written quote, usually the same day.

2

Buy your Govee lights

You order the lights yourself on Amazon at retail price — we tell you exactly which kit and how many feet before you spend a dollar. No installer markup, ever.

3

We install in a day

Powder-coated aluminum SnapTrack channel screwed into your soffit, wiring fully concealed, weatherproofed junction box(es) included on every install.

What you pay us for

  • Labor + SnapTrack channel: $18–$21 per linear foot, installed. Most homes land at $18/ft; complex rooflines with many connector breaks run up to $21/ft.
  • $850 job minimum — strict, no exceptions.
  • Weatherproofed junction box(es) included on every install, no add-on charge.
  • The lights themselves are not in our price — you buy those directly and keep Govee's full manufacturer warranty in your own name.

DIY vs. Professional

Why Have Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Professionally Installed?

Govee's included clips work, and plenty of homeowners install them well. Here's what professional channel installation adds.

The included plastic clips

Every Govee kit ships with plastic mounting clips that screw or stick to your fascia. They're fine hardware for a DIY weekend — but the lights and wiring stay visible in daylight, and plastic weathers through Colorado's freeze-thaw cycles, hail, and UV exposure.

Powder-coated aluminum SnapTrack

We install your lights inside SnapTrack — an aluminum channel color-matched to your fascia and screwed directly into the soffit. Not clips, not 3M tape. 5280 Lights is the only authorized SnapTrack installer listed in Colorado.

  • Clean architectural line — looks built-in, not clipped on
  • All wiring fully concealed, weatherproofed junction boxes
  • HOA-friendly finish, nearly invisible in daylight
  • Aluminum won't crack, yellow, or sag in Colorado weather
  • We handle the ladder work at two-story eave height

Five-Star Google Reviews

Real customers, real homes, real installs across the Front Range.

★★★★★

5280 lights did a fantastic job putting up the Govee Pro Lights and snaptrack system. Our home on one side had about a 30' height on one side and the technicians scaled the home carefully and mounted the track and lights with professionalism and everything works amazing. The built in Govee programs make a first timer in programming 1,000's of different scenes from XMAS, 4th of July, to our Denver Bronco football team. You cannot go wrong with hiring 5280 for your permanent outside lighting solution. Call Jake, he will take care of you.

I had a great experience with Jake and his crew. Communication was excellent throughout the project, and the team was professional, respectful, and easy to work with.

The installation came out very clean and looks significantly better than having the cords exposed. The custom track was color-matched to the house, so the lights now look integrated into the exterior rather than added on afterward. The finished result is neat, polished, and looks like it was designed as part of the home.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a permanent lighting installation.

Common Questions

Govee Installation FAQ

Straight answers before you talk to us.

Do I buy the Govee lights, or do you?

You buy them directly from Amazon or Govee — we tell you exactly which kit and how many feet before you order, and there's no installer markup. Our price covers the aluminum SnapTrack channel, hardware, weatherproofed junction boxes, wiring concealment, and installation labor.

How do you quote without visiting my house?

Everything is remote: you send a few photos of your home, we confirm details over text, and you get a formal written quote — usually the same day. Your price is locked in writing before any work is scheduled.

Can you install Govee lights I already own?

Yes — if it's one of the compatible models above, we can install lights you bought last month or lights that have been in the garage since Christmas. Already clipped them up yourself? We can take them down and re-install them in channel.

Whose warranty covers what?

The lights carry Govee's manufacturer warranty, since you bought them and own them. The SnapTrack channel and installation workmanship are on us.

Will my HOA approve permanent Govee lights?

In almost all cases, yes. The channel is color-matched to your fascia and nearly invisible from the street in daylight — which is what most architectural review committees actually care about. Many HOAs that reject visible clip-mounted lights approve channel installs.
